TODDLER PROGRAM: 18 – 30 MONTHS

Children of this age learn cognitively by exploring their world physically and with all of their senses. This is also a time for learning self-control and identifying emotions. A regular routine to maximize a sense of security is crucial for this age group. Within the structure of the day, our staff will provide a variety of sensory materials for the children to explore. Opportunities for role-playing will be available on a regular basis. Role-playing gives children an opportunity to practice social and language skills. Teachers will assist the children in socializing and problem solving with their peers in an appropriate manner. An introduction to math, language and cognitive curriculum through songs, stories and music will also be part of the Toddler Program at The Orchard Children’s Centre.

As a part of the centre, our Toddler Program participates in the Quality First Programme.
